We must educate adults to realise that we can only better humanity through the child
Maria Montessori, 1946

An innovation Fund dedicated to supporting the world’s most marginalized children with transformative education solutions.
Montessori Group established the Fund in order to identify, amplify and expand grassroots education innovations to support vulnerable and marginalized children across the globe.
The Fund serves as a platform to frame our grant-making activity targeting education solutions in conflict and refugee settings, underserved and hard to reach communities as well as children living with disabilities.
Selected organisations receive funding to amplify and expand their educational innovations; they receive access to Montessori training and mentorship and unrivalled educational expertise to support their own capacity building.
Montessori Group continues to work with global partners to raise funds to support a number of innovations; in 2023-24, seeking to reach more than 250,000 children worldwide.

This is a Fund for the Future – at Montessori Group we take inspiration from hardship and envision a generation of children receiving high quality early childhood education armed with the skills, creativity and values required to secure their future and the future of our planet.
A child’s experiences in their first six years shape the life they’ll grow up to live. And, in turn, how healthy and wealthy their communities will be. Yet around the world, governments barely invest in children’s learning and development. They’re not sufficiently funding or prioritising early childhood policies. It’s a crisis – especially for children coping with pressures from conflict to climate change. We need to find ways to support equity and excellence within the education sector worldwide. One way to do this is to provide more direct funding, mentoring and support to impactful education innovations.
Our ambitious agenda requires equally ambitious partners with the compassion, conviction and commitment to walk this exciting and important path together.
The Educate the Future Fund recognizes that true transformation often comes from the bottom up, with small-scale non-profits uncovering solutions to help children fulfil their potential in some of the world’s most marginalized communities with minimal resources and support. They require funding, networks and expertise to maximize their transformative impact on children, families, and communities. The Fund will serve as a platform to uncover, elevate and partner with exceptional and inspiring initiatives and provide funding to amplify and expand ideas that can be replicated or scaled. Alongside catalytic grants, we will provide our decades of expertise to improve the effectiveness and impact of our partners. The most promising may become longer-term partners eligible for larger grants and continuous learning opportunities.
