Are leaders necessarily those who have a “title”?
Most importantly “Do you consider yourself as a leader?”

• enhance (and develop) your own perception of leadership
Perceptions of Leadership through a Montessori Lens
Provocations from Preeti Patel, Director of Education, Montessori Global Education
We look forward to you joining the discussion BUT before you do consider the following…

If I asked you to think of a leader……….

Why not?

The word Leader or term Leadership can sometimes prove challenging as it is not always easy to define.
- Could this be because it is challenging to understand the distinction between Leadership and Management/ Leader and Manager? These two terms are often used interchangeably BUT do they mean the same thing?
- Could this be because we consider Leadership to be a formal role or that we recognise positional leadership? Positional leadership – rights granted by position and title.
- Could it be because there are myths around what leadership is or what it is not?
Leadership is all around us and happens in all aspects of our lives:
• Professional
• Social and
• Family
At some point, to a greater or lesser extent most people have been leaders so why when we are asked to think about a leader, we do not picture ourselves.
To debate this question and others make sure you join us on 22nd May 2024.
