The International Montessori Awards recognise high-quality approaches to all kinds of education, highlighting those who make a meaningful difference in their community. Our longstanding annual awards programme celebrates excellence in education worldwide – and nominations are now open in our three focussed categories for 2024: Educator of the Year, Community Learning Initiative of the Year, and the Young Champion Award for a Sustainable Future.

Trustee Recruitment – November 2024

Montessori Global Education is looking to recruit new trustees for our Board of Trustees. We are seeking motivated individuals who share our vision and commitment and are willing to support us with expanding access to the Montessori method, transforming how we all learn, teach and lead.

Our Trustees
As we continue to pursue our objectives, we need new Trustees to complement the existing set of skills already existing on our Board.

About the role/what we are looking for
We are looking for passionate trustees with a varied background/set of skills who share our values and can support us enhance access to high quality education and embed a philosophy of the Montessori approach globally. Currently, our charity seeks for candidates with the following skills:
  • Experience of charity governance,
  • Significant experience of charitable fundraising environment and knowledge of fundraising ‘best practice’,
  • Experience of the services or projects the charity delivers and/or understanding of the charity’s key stakeholders.
  • Trustees are also crucial in assisting us in increasing our shared visibility and influence.
The board sees diversity, in all its forms, as an integral part of its regular board reviews. Experience or expertise in education is not a requirement, but a passion for creating positive changes and collaborating with others is essential, as well as the willingness to work in a collegiate way. Trustees must be willing to engage in a positive and constructive way with the team and support the charity (which is also a Limited company with subsidiaries), to achieve its aims and objectives.
