Elevating Youth Perspectives and Global Citizenship Through Youth-Led Design
Since 1998, Global Nomads has connected over one million youth across 60+ countries, giving them safe, structured spaces to dialogue, learn, and co-create solutions that bridge divides. Our mission is to unite global youth in experiences that provide the connection, skill building, and support they need to create a better world for us all.
How the Program Works
CCL interns work in multinational, cross-cultural teams to collaboratively design insightful courses on global issues that matter to them – from climate justice and neurodiversity to human rights and AI. These young creators shape content that reflects their unique perspectives, turning global challenges into collaborative, youth-led learning experiences for their peers around the world.
Youth designers not only develop robust curriculum skills (research, lesson design, assessment) but also gain essential real-world competencies:
● Intercultural Communication
● Curriculum Design (utilizing Backward Mapping)
● Collaborative Leadership

The Impact: Free, Youth-Designed Courses
Global Nomads has developed more than 160 programs that have reached over one million young people across 108 countries, enabling learners to explore global issues through dialogue, creativity, and peer connection. The work of the CCL culminates in our open-access Student to World courses, hosted on our free learning platform, NomadVerse (available at nomadverse.org and gng.org). Student to World courses are also available to be integrated into school curricula and classrooms, please connect with us if you want to learn more about it.
Created by young people, for young people, these resources nurture global citizenship, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding at scale. Every course is available free of charge and accessible anywhere in the world, with multilingual access in English, Spanish, and Arabic.
