Montessori Institute, Australia

The Montessori Institute is a not-for-profit organisation based in Australia offering nationally accredited Montessori training courses, as well as education and professional support relating to the Montessori approach, through partnerships with schools, childcare centres and the wider community.

The partnership will support practitioners and facilitate professional and regulatory recognition for the vital work that they do as educators, early-years specialists and graduates from both the Montessori Institute and Montessori Centre International (MCI).

Both MCI and the Montessori Institute were founded by Margret Homfray and Phoebe Childs, who, having completed their training with Dr Maria Montessori, developed Montessori training courses in the UK, Australia, and the US.

It is a testament to their vision and dedication to her work that both institutions continue to offer high-quality, recognised and accredited Montessori teacher training courses for all levels and stages of an educator’s career and professional development, thus ensuring the sustainability of Montessori education today.

Rachael Stevens,
National Director at the Montessori Institute

“We thrilled to be collaborating with The Montessori Group. It’s a partnership that will enhance opportunities for recognition and progression for all of our graduates. To be able to offer our students professional recognition and transferability into the UK sector is fantastic. We look forward to further exploration and collaboration together.”
